My computer is ridiculously slow, and i have restored it once before by
pushing some buttons while turning it on, yet i don't remember what buttons i
pushed...does anyone know how to restore my computer? It doesnt come with a
back up disk, it's already on the computer.

I think you meant the F8 key.

Check Windows Help on the topic "Start the computer using the last known
good configiuearion".

There are also topic on booting in safe mode and booting to command prompt.

(IIRC) If you want to repair Windows, I think you need to insert the Windows
CD into a bootable CD drive (make sure the BIOS has the CD drive higher in
the boot list than the hard-disk) and re-boot your computer. The boot from
the CD will recognise that you already have the OS on the hard-disk and will
offer repair / reinstall the OS.

If you buy a computer that comes with pre-installed software, INSIST on the
CD. Otherwise, don't buy ...

BTW, this newsgroup is for Microsoft Access, a database application. If you
need further help, please post your question in one of the relevant Windows
newsgroups.
