how do i paste records from one database to another?

WHEN MY paste option isn't available....
i highlight and copy the table contents i want but when i go to the other
database...paste isn't
i've confirmed that the structures are the same. so it isn't that.

it's not that easy. it's another ACCESS 2000 table i'm trying to copy from
in theory...and in the text...IT SHOULD WORK....
