how do I prevent going online for every search

Whenever I search for an item, my computer wants to go online. How can
i keep my search to my computer offline only?

Are you referring to the Help content? if so, when you choose help, on the
task pane at the right click "Online Content Settings" under "See Also".
Uncheck the box to search online.
