I have a page of avery 5164 labels that i want to print only one of on
Publisher. Can this be done?

Avery do not recommend that sheets of labels are fed through the printer
more than once.. they say this because a sheet fed through a printer once
already may have started the 'peel' process.. rogue labels that peel off
during the printing process are really not welcome..
I am no expert in the ways of Publisher, and looking at the help files has
not changed my status.. however, Avery supply free software that hooks into
MS Word (assuming that you have Word) that does an excellent job.. it is
even easy to set up for one label printing..
www.avery.com gets you there.. select your country when you arrive.. they
have other interesting free software too..

I know that Avery says that but I'm afraid I violate that. I'm sorry but I
live in a world where it's a big waste of money to throw away labels that
haven't been used. I've run some sheets thru my ink jet printer as many as 5
or 6 times. Laser printers are a bit harder on the sheets but so far I
haven't screwed up a printer.

I run them through more than once too.. some printers are easier on the
sheets than others and it is worth noting.. the OP is using quite a large
label and it may not be so bad, but the little labels can be a pig to remove
if they peel off 'en masse'..
