How do I print a drop down list?

I am writing a user manual. I am copying install screens from an application
for users and writing instructions below each screen. I also want to copy
screens which include drop down lists --to show the user which choice to make
from each drop down list. How do I do this?

Print screen, paste into a Paint program and crop the image. SnagIt is a wonderful
tool, not free but if you are going to do a lot of this in the future it maybe worth
buying.
