How do I print a partial page of labels?

I need a few labels, not a whole page. How do I go about printing 6 labels?
I don't need a whole page of the same label. Can I mix labels on a page?

Basically it is setting up the page to match your labels with ruler guides or
even a table depending on the gaps.
Select the label you want, make a note of the margins and gaps. On the
publication page, Arrange, Layout guides, use the grid guides for the gaps.

When my printer (Canon pixma ip 6000D) comes up, it shows a picture of the
sheet of labels and says "number of copies" and has 30 on it. At first I
thought it meant number of label sheets to print, but it means the 30 labels
on ONE page.
If I put 15 instead it only prints 15.
Though I suppose going by this the label page would have to be turned over
and put in again, and the same thing done to print another half page of
different ones.
I know this is something I'd like to find an easy way to do, too. Like set
up different labels on the same page.
Maybe something like mail mergee? Where different names/addresses are put
on each label?
If I wanted to print one label, for a name/address, I'd use Word, which
lets you set it up to do 1 (or however many) and which column and line to
print.
I don't know how this would work, or even if it would, using designs and
printing different ones at the same time.
