How do I print on paper with Christmas designs

J

Joanne

My printer is a HP C6100 series and I cannot figure out how to print on
designed Christmas paper. The printer must recognize the pattern and will
not print my text. Is there a paramiter I need to change to use this type of
paper?

Your printer has no idea & couldn't care less what color, pattern or design
your paper is :) As long as the paper is an appropriate size & weight the
printer will at least try to print on it. If you just swap out the paper &
change nothing else does the file print? There must be something else
preventing the text from showing up but you haven't provided sufficient
details to suggest what it might be.

Check all your print settings in Word as well as in the print dialog. You
might also check to see if there is an update for your printer driver.

If you still can't identify the problem you'll need to supply a more
detailed description of the document content, font formatting & exactly what
you mean by "will not print" (does the paper feed but come out blank, not
feed at all, what?).

Some printers do "read" the paper to determine what type it is so as to
determine the optimum settings to use (if you have it in Auto Detect mode).
I can see how an all-over design could confuse the printer.
