How do I print out the online help?

Hi:

I want to print the online help. But when I select the option to print
everything under the topic, the help prints in a different type style
than when I print the single topic alone, and the header for each page
is the header of the first topic, rather than reflecting the current
topic of the page being printed.

In any case, printing topic by topic is tedious and wasteful -- the
examples print on a different page than the topic, for instance. Isn't
there any way to get this information out in a reasonable format
approximating a book?

TIA

G'day [email protected],

You need to purchase a help convertor that includes reverse
engineering so you can load the .hlp file into a word document as a
document.

I was afraid of that. I've looked at a few chm to pdf converters, but
now I guess I'll have to go back and give them a closer look. Any
you'd recommend?

P.S. Sponsored links on the side now, like Google's regular pages.
See a bunch of word to PDF converters, but no CHM to Word/PDF
converters yet.

Not sure we're on the same page. These are help system authoring
tools, not .chm decompilers.

G'day [email protected],

Heh, read this thread carefully. If you buy one of these tools, ask
first, but AFAIK all three come with DECOMPILERS as well :) You only
want the decompile, but i don't think it is sold separately.

G'day [email protected],

Better yet - go ask on the HATT group on Yahoo's community groups. One
of the helpful folks there will quite possibly do a one-shot decompile
for you. I'd offer, but I am reformatting the sys disk next week for
good reason!

Go to the Microsoft website and download the HTML Help Workshop. It has a
basic set of tools for creating windows Help files from HTML pages, but it
also has a decompiler that will allow the help file to be split into its
separate HTML pages

Mind you, you then have the problem of deciding what order to print them
all...

G'day "Jonathan West" <[email protected]>,

LOL! Of course! Silly me. Mind you Fubar01, HATT is still the place to
go to get the best, easiest results out of this tool.
