How do I prompt the automatic launch of IE with Office documents'URLs/links?

Hello.

Sometimes I want to highlight URLs/links inside Office documents (e.g.,
XLS, .DOC), but I accidently click on them. Is there a way to have the
program prompt me to launch IE or not instead of automatically loading IE?
