how do i provent items from opening upon startup

How do I prevent programs ffrom autostarting and appearing
in my system tray ?

There are 4 programs that I don't want to startup everytime iI startup my
computer

This would be best asked in a group for the operating system you are
using. In the meantime try r-clicking on the icon for the program in
question and look at the options.
