how do I put a note or contact in a private folder

How do I put Outlook objects besides email in private folders without making
it email? I want to put some notes and contacts in a folder but they won't
go. I can't figure out how to get them in. Ican drag and drop spreadsheets
and word docs from my desktop, but not other Outlook items.
