Trying to put a watermark on the MS Project Gantt Chart?

Mark,
I don't remember the answer but this question has been asked at least
twice in the last year. Try a search for "watermark" in this newsgroup.

Hope this helps.

Hi Mark,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

You can enter the word DRAFT in the Header, Footer or the Legend -
File/Print Preview/Page Setup. Alternatively, use another program (Word) to
print a watermark on a batch of paper and then use this paper to overprint
your project - or vise versa.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Mike,
This will work when printing on normal paper (letter or legal), but I
frequently have to present to an audience and larger paper is sometimes
needed from a plotter. Since the paper source is a 36in wide roll,
reprinting from the same paper is not doable.

I guess I have an expectation that since Word has this feature, why not all
MS products?

Thanks for suggestion using Word, though.

Mark,
I'm afraid your expectations are a little too great. Keep in mind, Word
is a text based application so it excels at working with and
manipulating text. It can't do a lick of scheduling. Excel is a number
crunching application so it "excels" at spreadsheet functions. It is
mediocre with text manipulation and graphics. Project is a
planning/scheduling application so it excels at developing and tracking
time-based plans. It is very poor with text manipulation and mediocre
with numerical calculations.

Separate features abound in each application.
