How do I put an object on another and still see whats underneath?

I am trying to put my company Logo right below my personal info. But when I
fit the logo where I want it, the box the logo is in covers the info and
reformats the text from that text box and does not show properly. Is there a
way of "layering" the logo and have the background clear so it will not mess
with the text in the text box below it? I have tried selecting the "clear
background" on the logo. This still messes with the text box underneath.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try sending the logo "to the back" and put the text box with the info
"to the front". Then with the text box selected, type Ctl-T to make the
text box transparent. Then position both elements as you want.
OK, tried that and it still has a not saying "Text in overflow"
