How do I REALLY allow multiple masters in PowerPoint?

The help info is incorrect, I think there is more I need to do to allow
multiple masters in one presentation.

Please tell us which version of PowerPoint you are using. There are four
versions in use and our answers will vary greatly based on which one you have.
Also, what does Help tell you to do, what have you done, and what isn't working?

Which version are you using? PPT 2000 and earlier don't allow multiple
masters. PPT 2002 and later do allow them, but it can be tricky. IF you are
using one of the newer versions, let us know what you are doing and we'll
help you figure out what to try.
