How do I recover a deleted document?

I need help asap! I was typing and messed up the information. In an attemp
to retrieve the document before the mess up, I click close and opted not to
save the changes. I lost the information I had most recently typed, but did
retrieve the format before the mess up. How can I recover the lost
information? PLEASE HELP!

You cannot. It is gone. That's why the program gave you the warning.
