How do i recover a vanished menu bar & toolbar?

Using Microsoft 98 & Office 2000. My menu bar & toolbar have 'disappeared'
Have recieved various advice, including re-installing, without success. I now
cannot save, print etc etc.

View, Toolbars

Now make sure you have selected at least Standard and Formatting.

If you don't have View on your MENU then press

ALT+V

i.e. you press ALT key and V key simultaneously.

On a couple of occasions I have observed that "vanished" menus and toolbars
have just been - misplaced, that is, dragged out of view. If there is an
active scrollbar to the right in the application, check whats at the bottom...
