How do I recover Infopath form to relocated template

I am using the Office B2TR, but the problem occurred in 2003 also.
I have reinstalled my software after a disasterous crash, and now my
Infopath Forms are no longer linked to the templates. I have tried
re-publishing them but they still do not pick up my historical forms, which I
need for audit purposes.
How do I recover them?

Your forms are registered on your computer the first time you open up a
template, as you have rebuilt your PC the references that your PC holds are
no longer live. Opening up the old forms from their location then opening up
your old forms will work fine.

I suspect however, that your forms have evolved and hence your old forms are
not compatible with the new forms and no copy of the Old form template exists
which is compatible. The solution is to keep old versions of the form but
publish them somewhere different (which is what i do if i keep old forms) or
publish your data from the forms into a datasource so that it is always kept.
To recover your old forms you will have to redesign the template to reflect
th old template and open them that way.
