How do I recover my old inbox and outbox?

I had to reinstall Microsoft office outlook because of a problem and so I
lost all my emails however I backed up my hard drive using Norton Ghost
version 9 just prior to this. What I can do is restore both my sent emails
and received emails from the backup in Norton ghost but I need to know what
files or folders to specify and look for?

All your datas are stored in a pst-file (e. g. outlook.pst, archive.pst)
Hello, the strange think is I can’t find any of these files? I have show all
files and folders enabled which includes hidden files. I am using windows XP
professional but unfortunately my version of Microsoft office 2003 is OEM so
I can’t obtain support directly over the phone with Microsoft.
I just can’t understand why I can’t see these files and there locations?

Regards Stephen

How are you trying to find them?

If find have you changed your search so you look in hidden directories?
Are you using a wildcard name with the file extender?
Or in Explorer have you looked in Documents and Settings folder? Again you
may need to unhide hidden files.
Or look at the directory that Outlook is set up to use using the menu
options Tools Options Mail setup ?

Thanks everyone, I found the folder/file pst and it was hidden. It was in my
documents and settings. Again thanks, Stephen.

When I look at my list of folders the Outbox shows a file. When I open the
Outbox I do not see a file. I have tried closing and opening Outlook &
rebooting the computer.

How do I get rid of that "Ghost File" or whatever it is?

Thank you,

Ken
