How do I recover my web tool features: sounds & scrolling?

Re: Web tools: sound & scrolling features.

When I click on sound Icon in Web Tools, Microsoft word tells me:
"Sound created in HTMLinlinesoundsCtl.
This application is not available to open this object.
Make sure the application is properly installed and that it has not been
deleted
moved or rename."
It was working fine until I downloaded the updates. Do you have any
suggestions on how to recover the sound & scrolling features in my Web Tools?

This issue was introduced by SP2 for Windows XP. Currently there is no fix
available from Microsoft.
