How do I reinstal Entourage?

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop Hi, my Entourage program keeps crashing unexpectedly. There is no pattern to the crash - it just closes unexpectedly at any time and I have to relaunch it time and again. I want to know if there's a way to reinstall just Entourage off Office: Mac 2008 disc. I tried doing that and it reinstalled everything - word, powerpoint, excel, as well as entourage. All the other programs are still working fine, but I can't even open Entourage anymore. When I try, I just get an error message saying there is a problem with the program. Can anyone help and tell me what to do please? Thank you very much.

Re-installing rarely fixes crashes like this. Let¹s do some cleanup first to
see if that will help.

Verify that you have fully updated Entourage to 12.2.4. Look under About
Entourage in the Menu bar.

If you are still having issues, give us the exact error message you are
getting. Take a screen shot using Command-Shift 4. See Apple Help for how to
create screen shots.

Steps to help determine where the problem is located.

1. you can eliminate your Identity by creating a new Identity in Entourage
and see if you experience the same problem.

2) if a new Identity still exhibits the same issues, then create a new User
in System Preferences and test Entourage there.

3) If the problems still exist in the new User, it¹s a problem with your
Office install or your base OS files. If running the Apple combo does not
fix, then you might need to do an ³Archive & Install².

Sorry, there is no magic button to fix problems. You might need to get some
help then. Contact your local Mac User Group for suggestions. I work with
clients so if you can¹t find someone local you can contact me off list.

Hello Diane

It's me again. I'm so sorry but I just haven't been able to get any help with my problem. You're my last hope! I can use ical but for some reason i prefer entourage, even though everyone tells me ical is better. Anyway, could you please walk me through the steps of getting my entourage to work again? I'd really, really appreciate it. Thank you.
