How do I remove a line under my graphics in Word?

I have been dragging graphics from a Windows Explorer window in Word and just
recently, a line has appeared beneath the graphic. I've checked borders,
lines, underline and the graphic properties. I can not select the line and
do not see anything unusual in the unprintable characters. What's going on?
How do I get rid of these lines?
