How do I remove a template after document has been saved?

I recently downloaded a legal pleading template in order to write a draft for
a report. I have found it useful to write drafts using this template because
the line numbering on the side makes it easy for my proof readers to cite
where corrections should be made. I've completed the report and now want to
print it without the template. Since I couldn't figure out how to remove the
template, I tried copying the report and then pasting it to a blank document
.... and still, it copied the template formate, as well. Any ideas?

You would have done better to have enabled Word's built-in line numbering.
You can now remove the text box from the pleading document (View | Header
and Footer, click on the box, and press Delete), or you can use Insert |
File to insert your document into a fresh one. To prevent bringing the
formatting with it, press Enter in the new document a couple of times before
using Insert | File.
