how do I remove an add-in that's not installed?

On startup Outlook asks me to activate or delete an add-in called Act!...
this program doesn't exist on my computer. How do I remove it and satisify
Outlook?

It probably uninstalled incorrectly then.
See if renaming extend.dat to .old already solves your issue;
