How do I remove contact folder from "select a name menu?

I have several duplicated and none used contact folder to be omited when I
click "TO" for new e mails. These folders are in the "select a name drop
down menu" and are located under "show names form the".
I have reviewed all the out look help and none of them is giving me an
access to this particular directory.
Can you help, I apprciated....

Answer depends on your Outlook version which you did not post. It is posted
here almost daily so I'm sure you can find one that matches your version.
In Outlook 2003, remove invalid or unwanted references here to Contacts
Folders here: Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories
or address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. >
