How do I remove intendation from text boxes

Sometimes the text on the second and following lines are intended 2-3
characters from the first line. Hw do I make all lines start in the same
position?

click in the text box and drag the lower grey pointer on the ruler back to
line up with the top pointer.

If ruler is not there : VIEW>RULER
