How do I remove "RC" ?

Help! my excel formulas have been mysteriously replaced by formulas such as
"=+RC[-2]*RC[2]" instead of the usual A1*B1, etc.....how do I fix this??

Tools > Options > GeneralTab...........uncheck R1C1 Reference Style box
