how do I remove the word update from meeting requests

Everytime someone sends a meeting update or I send one the word "Update"
precedes the "Subject". Is there any way to eliminate this? Looking a month
view on my calendar shows too many "Update" words and I have to keep clicking
on the appointments to figure out what they are.
