How do I repeat nudge?

R

RiggerPJ

In prior versions, "nudging" an item was very easy...you could just click the
direction over and over until the item was in position.

Now, in 2003, nudging an item has become very difficult. As soon as I click
on a direction, the drop-down menu disappears. If I want to continue nudging,
I have to do the whole process over and over.

Is there an easier way to do this?

Thanks.

FWIW...In my copy of Pub2003, selected image
files can be nudged by using only the arrow keys
but text boxes require that I depress and hold the
Alt key while using the arrow keys.

Right-click the toolbar, click measurements. The measurement toolbar has the
nudge buttons. Likewise you can change the amount of nudge in Tools, options,
edit tab.

I can nudge text boxes without using Alt - it just requires that the
frame, rather than the text, is selected.

Or alternatively you could tear off the Nudge sub-menu to make a new
toolbar.
