How do I replace pictures on my web page with new pictures?

I have just purchased Front Page and am trying to replace pictures on an
existing website. Can someone simplify the process for me? Thanks.

First publish the site to a folder on your pc. Then open the site locally
(your HD)with FrontPage and manipulate to your hearts desire, publish back
to the site.
