someone used my office program and changed the headers, and original settings
that offices uses for typing. It used to use 'normal' 12 font new times
roman when i first started my office program. now they are all different. I
would like to reset this back to the original template offered when first
purchased. I even unistalled the office program and then used my cd to
reinstall. It still has the new settings for styles and formatting. How can
I get the original setting for styles and formatting that came when
originally purchased

Hi, chiefy. In Word, click on Tools | Options | User Information. Note the
location of the "User Templates" folder. That is where your Normal.dot
template will be located. Close Word, and rename your Normal.dot template to
Normal.old or something else. When you restart Word, Word will automatically
create a new Normal.dot template containing the original default styles.
