How do I restore the Office Button in Office 2007?

I have Office 2007 installed on my machine and earlier today I installed the
LinkedIn toolbar for Office. This installation has taken away the Office
button and functionality (which I liked) and replaced it with the old file
menu system. I have uninstalled the toolbar, and also tried System Resore,
but neither have worked. Checking Office Help, I see that it is not possible
to revert to the old file menu.....so how did I manage it and how do I
reverse it? Thanks!

Are you sure you didn't also install another add-in or utility that lets you
use the old menus in Office 2007? There's one called Classic Menu for Office
2007 (by a company called Addintools) and another called, mmm, I can't find
it. Ribbon customizer gives you this option, too, but it wouldn't do it by
default, so I doubt that one is the issue.

I don't know if opening one of the Office applications and going to Tools |
Options | Add-ins will help you or not, but it's worth a look. Anything
unusual there?

You can also check Windows Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs.

Oh, wait. Disregard my previous post.

If you're talking about the LinkedIn toolbar for Outlook, well, Outlook 2007
doesn't have the Office button. It has the old menus -- until you
double-click an email message to read it or hit New to create a new email
message....
