how do i save downloaded powerpoint templates for future use

I want to save the downloaded .pot file for future use and i know where to
save it but when i download it, it just pops up in power point it doesnt give
me the option of saving a file.

When you open it, save it in PowerPoint as a Template file .POT and
PowerPoint will put it into the correct folder.

Save as >save as type > design template should default to the correct folder.

For info the folder is normally:
Documents and Settings / your name / Application Data/ Microsoft/ Templates
