how do I scan document to attach as email

As an example, I have a residential agreement of sale which I would like to
scan into my computer and email to someone in a format that they will be able
to open as an attachment on their computer with the same formatting. How do
I do this. Do I use office imaging? A step by step guide would be very
appreciated. Thanks.

About all you can do is scan it and send it as an image or picture. Sort
of like a fax.

For a monthly fee, you can convert most any MS-Office document to a PDF. Go
to www.createpdf.adobe.com It's Web-based and run as SaaS (Software as a
Service). No software to buy.

Your scanner software will provide a number of output formats. Most are
associated with an application, e.g., if you choose Outlook, it assumes you
want a .jpg and will open the mail message with the .jpg attached. Consult
the manual or help menu.

Most of the Realtor docs applications (those that generate the doc) I have
seen can produce a compatible format for email of the completed doc. If this
is a blank document to begin with, it should be available from the publisher
(Board of Realtors) in electronic form.

Keep in mind that you can decompile a PDF. So, if you don't want to be
subject to any edits, it's back to paper being fax'd back and forth.

You can download PrimoPDF for free. No monthly fee and it will convert
anything than can be printed, including websites.
