How do I search long Word Documents for a specific word(s)?

I am doing genealogy research and I usually download large files. How do I
search for my grandfather's name in a large word file? Thanks.

I could be more specific had you indicated what version of Word you're
using, but based on the limited information you've provided you should be
able to do what you describe by using the Find feature. You'll find
information on it in Word Help.
