How do I see Office 2000 style buttons in office 2003

I am having dificulty reading the 2003 style buttons ... they are too chunky
and garish, and that blue/grey background is not only awful, it makes it
dificultto see the butons with my eyes.

I would lie to see button images and a flat background similar to office 2000.

The offline help tells me some rubbish about desktop settings, but his only
gives me square cornes on my windows ... I am stil looking at the same
buttons :-(

Any thoghts? ... I cannot see an option on the view menu.

no it does not !!!!!!

This changes windows ... there is no problem with windows (!)

I want to change office.

The method suggested in the help does not change the buttons/backgrounds ...
these are integral to office, not windows ... so it folloows that they need
to be changed through Office.

The implication of the suggested control panel solution ... changing the
operating system to suit one application suite (!!!) ... surely this is not
the solution.

I do not want to change windows, just the toolbars within office .... how?

I have been forced to use this version of office on a new machine ... am I
allowed to use the 2K version instead, on the same license? This seems to be
the only solution given the poor apparent UI of 2003
