How do I send an automatic reminder email for recurring tasks?

I have a recurring appointment in my outlook calander to remind me to send a
weekly report. However, since I don't look at my calender much, and my sound
is disabled, I don't hear the reminder sound. I need to use an email
reminder, but don't see how to set one.

When you set up Calendar reminders you should by default get a notification
displayed on screen as well as the reminder sound. If this is not displaying
check it is not turned off. Go into Tools, Options, Other Tab, Advanced
Options, Reminder options, and check the display reminder is checked.
