How do I send an e-mail at a future date?

M

Mike DiGiuro

I would like to set up messages to be sent automatically at a future date.

Can this be done? How?

Yes, click the Options button when composing and set the "Do not deliver
before" option and press Send. It will now wait in your Outbox. Unless you
are using an Exchange server you'll need to have your Outlook client open
and Automatic Send/Receive configured in order for it to go automatically at
the specified time and date.

Are these the same message to be sent on a regular schedule? Try this then:

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Roady [MVP] asked:

Actually, you'll also have to leave Outlook open if you have Outlook 2003
in cached-Exchange mode. In that case the message is not pushed to the
Exchange server until the specified time.

Indeed, I have it configured manually to sync that folder too...
