I have set up distribution list for a "list-serv" I manage for a club. The
distribution list works fine because I can BCC everyone on it (there are over
200 contacts.) However, I have just upgraded to Outlook 2003 and I really
like the categories. Can I click on the category and send e-mail to everyone
in the category as simply as I can to distribution list.

I tried that. Actions does not give me the option of New Message when I
highlight the category.

Yes.
Actions > New Message to Contact will do the job.

Of course it does.
Are you using the By Category view of your Contacts Folder?
The more information you leave out, the more impossible it is to answer you
accurately.

Thanks Russ...I was right clicking on the mouse and looking at the pop-up. I
realize you have to click on the actions. One quick question...Is there a
way to have the addresses go to BCC instead of To: without cutting and
pasting...or am I asking too much...lol.

Thanks again.

No. Unfortunately, cut and paste is the only way to get it to the BCC field.
