How do I separate writing from a logo, there's writing underneath

A friend of mine is a graphic designer and she made a logo for me. The image
is perfect but I am not happy with the accompanying writing underneath the
logo. I have tried to modify it in Microsoft Office Picture Manager but the
logo and the writing seem inseperable.

Please can you suggest how I can completly cut out the writing from
underneath the logo. I do not want to ask my friend again as she originally
did it as a favour and there is a grammatical error in the writing I do not
want to bring to her attention.

I thank you for your time.

You need to use an image editor, Norma. Picture Manager, while it can do
some basic correction, is really just a manager, not an editor.

You might try Irfanview. It's free and should be able to do this kind of
edit. http://www.irfanview.com (select the area around the text and click
Cut).

Other image editors you might consider are PaintShop Pro and Photoshop
Elements. There are many more available, but these two are both reasonably
priced and do a good job.
