How do I set conditional protection to a cell

Is there a way to apply conditional protection to a cell, just like the same
way I apply conditional formatting? I need a cell to be protected from being
changed if a condition is true. Is it possible?

You could use event code to pick up the condition and protect the cell and apply
sheet protection.
