PJ,
Pretty much the same as you would use a music track on your hard drive.
Insert - Movies and sounds - Sound from cd - choose start from track x stop
after track y, for instance start with track 3, stop with track 4. Click the
button to play Automatically. Then in the custom animation task pane, double
click the music entry, on the tab effect select start playing from beginning
and stop playing after x slides. X being the total number of slides you want
the number to play over.

First rip your CD track to "My Music" ( I can't do it directly from the CD)
2nd click the sound Icon in the 'Insert" ribbon, find your track in My
Music, click it and select "automatically" in the litle window showing up
3rd go to Animation in the ribbon , select "custom animation"
4th in the middle of your slide the sound icon shows of, click it
5th now completely to the right, your track is shown , click the little
down arrow,
click "effect options" a sound window appears
6 Start playing: select from beginning
Stop playing : after ... and use arrow to show # of slides (
use more than you need) do not change anything else. click OK
your all set. You will be able to hear it on your own computer only
If you want to e-mail convert the WVA file sound to WAV

Good luck
