How do I set the default paper tray to auto from an open contact?

When I open a Contact and try and print the info memo style, the printer is
always set to Manual Paper Tray. I have tried to set it to Auto but it
reverts to Manual when I close and reopen Outlook. Is there a way to
permanently set the Auto paper tray to the default setting?

Are you talking about the properties for the printer device defined in
Windows? If so, use the Printers applet in Control Panel to open the
properties (printing preferences) for your particular printer and set its
paper tray selection to "auto".
