How do I set the timescale to half months or semi-months?

Our company works on a semi-monthly pay cycle. I've found how to set the
timescale in Project to show Months and Thirds of Months (why thirds but no
halves?)

Is there anyway to set the timescale to semi-monthly or half months or do I
have to set up thirds of months and ingnore the middle third (clunky
solution)?

Krussman,

In Project 2003, you have "Third of month" among the available units on the
timescale.

Hi Krussman,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

I think I would settle for Weeks! And you could View/Zoom.../2 weeks.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Why does your pay cycle enter into the project schedule? Remember that
Project is a work scheduling tool, not really a time tracking and most
definitely not a payroll or accounting application. The cost data project
accumulates is the direct cost of performing the required work in the tasks
its timing does not reflect pay periods or when payments are made.
