I want to set up an F11 tab in Word 2003 - where I can press F11 and the
cursor will move to a selected position.

"target". Do you want these targets to display anything, or basically just
be "empty areas"? Do you want to be able to re-use them, or should they
disappear as soon as one has typed at the target once? (Not sure I can
promise this last, but hey...)

F11 jumps to the "Next field", so you need some kind of field as the
"target". Do you want these targets to display anything, or basically just

Insert/Field. You can use any name for the macro name, as long as it
doesn't exists as a macro (Generally, we use NoMacro as the macro
name).
For the display text, you can use nothing at all, but this might be
confusing for the user, as the cursor will disappear. You can also type a
number of spaces, however.
If you ever need to view or edit such a field, Alt+F9 will toggle between
field results and field codes.

The usual approach for the type of MacroButton field Cindy is referring to
is to use something like "Click here to type name" as the prompt for the
field; when you click in the field, it is selected, so anything that is
