How do I set up a Word document to bypass the CNTRL + click? I would like
for the user to be able to click on the link and advance directly to the link
without doing a CNTRL + click.

This is not a document setting but rather an application setting. It is
controlled under Tools > Options > Edit (tab).

So, you can change it for all Word documents, but not just for your
particular document.
