How do I set up my mail preferences, ie. pop3/smtp, maile server .

When ever I turn off my computer, my email settings default from what I have
set up, ie smpt/pop3, username and password, and mail server to setting that
do not allow me to send mail. Every time tat I turn the computer back on it
default to incorrect preferences and I have to go back in and change the a
mail account so that I can send and recieve mail. I can not find sany tools
that I can use to change this so that the profile that I set up keeps the
dsame email settings.

This is unbearable!!
