how do i set up outlook to check automaticly without the browser .

So i am used to netscape 4.79 where the "nsnotify" checks my mail every 5
min... can i get outlook 2002 to do the same without having the browser open
or minimized? As in just from the icon tray?

No, it has to be opened, though it can be minimised.
Check mail settings and set to check every x mins - do not set to less than
10mins
