How do i set up password required security in a database?

a database that i was working on is complete, now i would like to incorporate
some security in which passwords are required upon opening the database. i
want different users to have different rights. any thoughts?

Access user security is not to be taken lightly, so read very carefully and
thoroughly, practice on a COPY of your database, and don't skip any steps in
the process.
