How do I set up the equivalent of the Microsoft Office Toolbbar?

Hi
I've just upgraded to Office 2007 from 2000 - I know I have a lot to learn
but now I'm just longing for my Microsoft Office Toolbar, which displayed as
a strip of shortcuts on the right hand side of my screen. Is there an
equivalent in 2007?

You can do similar from the Start> New Office Doc or Open Office Doc
