How do I setup automatically setup for holidays

I'd like to have Project automatically list holidays and make them nonworking
days for a multi-year project.

Sorry - you have to enter the holidays by hand. By creating a base
calendar, editing it to show the holidays, and then copying it to the global
file using the Organizer you can use it in other projects so you don't have
to re-invent the wheel for every new project but the creation process is
always done by hand one holiday at a time. The reason is that many projects
involve multiple jurisdictions. I'm in Ontario, Canada. Many companies
here have divisions in Quebec. A lot of companies here also have divisions
in the USA or are themselves divisions of American companies. A large
project can involve resources from all three areas and all 3 have different
legal holidays, normal business practices, and statutory hours of work to
contend with. Union contracts can further modify those statutory provisions
differently in each jurisdiction. Then consider religious holidays on top
of that - Company X might give the afternoon off on Good Friday, Company Y
gives the full day off, and for Company Z it's just another regular workday.
That means a number of different base calendars can be involved and what
single place could Project go to fetch all that information and keep it
accurate?
